Fairies

Kendra has a girl that believes in Fairies and if you write a letter to the fairies and leave it out they will bring you what you have asked for in the letter. She told Emerson about this while she was out there and they even wrote letters to the fairies while she was out there, but something went wrong.... a parent got up in the middle of the night and read the letter and left candy instead of what was asked for. So when Emerson got home that is the first thing she wanted to do was to right a letter to the fairies and she gave both Chris and I instructions NOT to get up and read the letter. Well it looks like the fairies came.

now Slatin wants to leave a note.

Quick trip to Nevada and a Winner

This morning I dropped kids off at school and headed to Nevada to pick up Emerson. We all missed her and I thought that she would be ready to come home. WRONG. She wanted to stay. She tried getting her Aunt Kendra to let her call me at 10 o'clock last night to beg to stay longer and then again first thing this morning. When we left Kendra's house she was bawling. I felt like bawling with her. But we are home and I hope she is glad to be back.

The winner of the drawing is KENDRA JOHNSON. Let me know what color of hat (white or Beige) and 3 colors of flowers. For anyone else that wants one I am charging 2.00 a hat. So if your interested let me know.

Do you think she is homesick?

It looks like she is having to much fun to miss us. Kendra says she has been good. We sure miss her. When Kendra told her what they were having for dinner (it was steak, hamburgers, corn, potatoes) she told her that she doesn't like meat, corn, or potatoes but she will eat the bun. Dang those Steglich picky genes. I know when she goes to her friend Lexi's house and Daniella is feeding her lunch she wants bread and water. I promise she does eat more than that (but not much)

Cousins

Yesterday Kendra had to come into town to get some Dental work done and so I watched her girls for her. Emerson was in Heaven. She loves her cousins. They decide to get into the make up and my don't they look pretty. Love the blue eye shadow. Rayn didn't you use to have some of that?

Kendra took Emerson home with her yesterday to stay until Monday. She was so excited to go. I packed her bag for her and I don't think she was to happy about that. She informed me she wanted to choose her clothes and I said to bad. I miss her already. I called her this morning to check on her and she is having tons of fun.

Watches

My Friend Brandi showed me how to make these watches and I had a alot of fun making them. I thought one of these would be the perfect gift to give the Bestest first grade teacher ever. Slatin and I are attaching a note with the watch that says "thanks for taking time to teach me" love slatin. He is soooooo excited to give this to her.
For Emerson's and Kaige's teachers I made these signs using their last name and words to describe them.

I am on the PTO this year and we decided also to give all of the teacher's something little everyday. We all picked a day and my day is tomorrow. I am taking little loaves of mini bread into them with the saying For being there when you were "kneaded", for "rising to the occasion, large or small. For never "loafing" on the job, for helping others to "heel" with TLC. No matter how you "Slice" it, you do a terrific job. We have some great teachers. It has been fun working on the PTO this year with some wonderful ladies. It has been good to be more involved with the school.
