New Wheels

A month or so ago we bought a small motorcycle at a yard sale. We were able to get is started that day but haven't had much luck since then. This week Jaxton and a friend have been working hard on it to get it to work. Yesterday and tonight they worked hard on it and got it to run. We all enjoyed turns and hopefully we can get it started tomorrow.

Having fun with the kitties

Emerson had her friend Maili come over and play today. They played so good together. They went outside to hold the Kitties and played barbies and dolls.

Holding their babies

Forts

Sunday the kids made forts upstairs and in the family room. They spent all day in them and even got up this morning and made new ones. I remember making forts growing up and having a ball. They are planning on making new ones this Friday and spending the night in them. Fun Fun

Who ate the cookies

Chris went to get some cookies the other day and opened the package. This is what he found... Emerson had taken a bite out of every cookie and then put them back in the package. So poor dad didn't get any cookies.

New Backpack

My friend called and told me that Target had all their schoool supplies marked down to 75%. I headed down and was able to get some things. Emerson thought she needed a new backpack and for 3.00 I thought that would be ok. She got a sling backpack like her brothers and a lunch box for next year. I also picked up extra backpacks for my 72 hours kits.
She wanted me to take the picture from the front and back so we could see both.

What a cutie

Bread

Saturday I made bread by myself for the first time. Because I have arthrithis in my hands and we don't have a mixer Chris got to knead the bread. I am going to price a Kitchen Aid before I make any more. We mostly made bread to get the awful smell of burnt food out of our house. That is what happens when a teenager decides to cook himself some dinner and doesn't read all the directions. Ryker decide to make himself some easy mac. He put it in the microwave but didn't add water. Smoke was everywhere and the house stunk. Daniela told me that the way to get out the smell was to bake bread. So I got out Brandi's recipe and made my first batch. The house still has a burnt smell but not nearly as bad.
Here is the finish product

Flag Football

Kaige and Jaxton had their first flag football game on Friday. They are on the same team which is nice. The team ranges from 2nd grade to 5th grade. They did really well and they tied with the other team. Kaige made a touch down and he was pretty stoked about that. I was happy because I had to beg him to play this year. Last year he didn't have a good time but after making a touchdown and having a really good coach he can't wait for the next game. Jaxton was quarter back a couple of times and did well also. They only have 5 more games which is a bummer.

bye kitties or maybe not

Okay I have had it. We have 6 cats and 2 I just found out are pregnant. NO MORE!!!!!! I called my aunt and asked if we could take the cats out to her property and so we rounded up the cats. We were able to get 3 and loaded them in the car

After getting in the car to head over I looked back and Emerson is crying. She doesn't want to give her kitty away. I told her we just had way to many and that we would find her a boy kitty. She didn't want another kitty she wanted her Milky way

Getting to the property and unloading

carefully opening the lid

One happy girl because Milky Way is coming home. She sure knows how to work her daddyd

Also I wanted to thank whoever dropped off the Halloween music. Thanks so much we love it and Emerson has been listening to it all afternoon when we aren't playing it in the car. Not sure who it was but again THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The creepy sisters pay a visit

So instead of going to the Homecoming game tonight my creepy pal and I headed over to Hurricane to pay a visit to a special someone.

Nobody was home but we came across a body. Maybe that was what all that tape was for.
I guess it just isn't safe to leave your homes anymore.

Streakers and Savings

Sorry no photos.
Today I came home from grocery shopping and I see a cop in my back yard. A couple of big kids were walking by and asked if they could go in my back yard and talk to the cop. I asked why and they said that earlier this morning they were on their way to school and saw a naked man sleeping on the a neighbors trampoline so they called the cops I guess a couple of people saw the streaker and called the cops. They heard he had jumped my back fence I was unloading my car and another cop pulled up and then the LaVerkin chief of police came. I asked if we had a streaker and he said we do. This guy gets high and then goes naked. I told him I was a little nervous since I had been gone and I had left my house unlocked. (which won't happen again) They checked out the neighbors camper and yard with tasers drawn (what excitment) They found his clothes and shoes but no naked guy. After awhile the cops left and if I see anything I need to give them a call.

As for the savings. I went shopping today spent 57.37 and saved 107.35 WOW. I was able to get 4 bags of cereal, 4 jars of salsa's, 10 cans of healthy harvest soup, 8 v-8 soups, 20 cans of cream of chicken, 20 cans of chicken broth, 10 easy mac's, 1 oreo, 1 chips ahoy, a bottle of apple juice, 6 bars of johnson and johnson kid soup (which ended up being free) I was so excited. My friend Kendra showed me how to use the coupons out of the paper and a site on line. Thanks so much.

Hold on Tight....

Hold on tight...

“It is important not only to embrace your children frequently but also to be the last to let go. Make a habit of holding your child (no matter how old, whether two or twenty) until they let go. When they wrap themselves around you, stop what you are doing and hug them right back. And don’t let go, even if you have a hundred other things to do or if you are running ten minutes late to a conference. The most important thing at that moment in time is your child’s need to feel loved and reassured. Hug them, and hold it, and be the last to let go.”
~Hannah Keeley

Saw this and it really made me stop and think how fast time goes and pretty soon I am going to be begging for hugs. I have great kids and sometimes I can be a mean mom and not always patient. I want to be the last to let go

Crazy hair day, mom, and ouch

Ryker had crazy hair day today for school. When I came down for scriptures this is what he came up with.

I have the best mom ever.

Saturday Slatin decided to jump down the basement stairs with a long knex in his hand. Lets just say that isn't the best thing to do. He ended up tripping or something and the knex went right into the eye. His eye was hurting and being the red necked doctor that I am I fixed him right up. Luckily he was fine a little later and the bandage came off.
