Happy Halloween Treats

I made these chocolate covered twinkie mummies for the kids to take to their teachers, the office and my work. I found the idea on line and they were fun to make.

Pumpkin Patch

Saturday I took Em to the Pumpkin Patch with Summer, Tim, Ellie and the boys. Chris had taken our boys up north to a Real Soccer game. So us girls needed to play as well.

Jumping with Aunt Summer, Tripp, Deacon and Emerson

Too funny. I went to take a picture of Ellie and the boys and Tim jumped in.

We had a great time. Thanks Aunt Summer for inviting us. Chris and the boys had so much fun watching the game and already want to go to another one. Hopefully this time someone will remember to bring their shoes.

Kaiger

Kaige has a Health class and the other day the Teacher had them each take a blank piece of paper and pass it around the one and each classmate had to write on everyone's paper something nice about that person.

Kaige showed Chris the paper and of course Chris had to show me. One girl had written on the paper that Kaige always has nice hair???????? Kaige's hair has been a source of amusement in our home because he NEVER combs it and if he does it is with his hand. It is ALWAYS sticking up somewhere. The other comment she wrote was that he always knows what is going on?????? WHAT. Umm he sure has her fooled. We love you Kaiger .

Thursday Night Football

Kaige had another football game last night against Dixie and they won. They are undefeated so far and I think he is having fun. He is the kick off kicker and was able to play quite a bit last night. It was fun to watch him and his friend play. They have a great team with a great coaches.

I hope he continues to play next year because after that he will be in HIGH SCHOOL. That blows me away. The other day it hit me that Ryker only has 3 more years and he will be on a mission. How crazy is that. I need to savor every minute I have with my kids.

Here you go Taylor.....

I sent my brother Taylor a hat to wear over in Iraq. I asked that he send a picture back with him wearing it, which he did (the picture is on the side of my blog) he told me that his roomies were jealous and wanted some. So I hurried and made up a couple for them all and had my kids try them on before I send them out. I think they are so funny.

Trevor's mustache looks a little lopsided. Better double check that one.

Another cochet blanket

After finishing this blanket for a friend who is having her first girl. I decided I needed to make another one and finished this one up today.

One of my favorite blankets, they just take alot of work.

Today is the big day.

So today is the big day. Ryker is going to be the owner of a license. He is not to excited that he has to drive a van to school (when I decide to let him) he thought he was going to drive the truck but he has to get use to that first and we have some concerns about kids hoping in the back. I called our insurance company and to put him on the our plan just about doubled our payment. Good thing he has good grades and we can get a discount there.
Kagie had a football game last night and he got to be the kick off Kicker (is that even how you say it?) He did really good, it was his first time and they had him play another position on the line (sorry have no idea what it is called ) and he got thru the guy both times. He said he didn't think the other guy was expecting much for a small skinny kid like him. His team is undefeated and I think the more he plays the more he likes it. I am crossing my fingers he will play next year. Ryker and a bunch of his friends are going to do baptisms for the dead tomorrow. One of the girls put this together. What a great way to spend a day of your break at the temple. I don't think that was something as a kid I would have thought to do and I am proud of them for wanting to go.
Jaxton is enjoying ballroom dancing. I was hoping he would and he does. It probably doesn't hurt that he has such a cute partner. He has been trying to hit some of the high school soccer practices on top of his own because next year gasp he will be a freshman. Holy Cows, time slow down.
Em loves clogging WOOHOO. She got her shoes so that makes a big difference. She started piano up again.
Slatin has his first flag football game tomorrow. He is so excited. It makes things a little crazy for him with 3 soccer practices a week and then to throw in flag football on the other days but he wants to play. And the season is so short so that won't be to bad. He made student council at school and is on the year book.
Life is good. (say's Emerson)

Just call me grace

Yesterday I fell out of the car and really messed up my knee again. It wasn't a pretty sight. I was so glad I was hidden from the street as I bawled for what seemed like forever but was probably only 5 minutes as I waited for the pain to somewhat lessen and hope I didn't throw up. Oh my hannah, it hurt so stinkin bad. Luckily Ryker was there and ran and got me the dreaded crutches to get in the house where I could wallow in my misery. It was awful. Today is a little better, I can get around without the crutches and only have to use the HUGE brace to help support the knee. For that I am thankful for. I hate the crutches. Thank goodness for medication as well. Just another day in the life of Keri. Bring on the good times.

Happy Birthday Ryker

Ryker turns 16 today. I can't believe I have a 16 year old. I am so not ready to have a 16 year old. We love you and are so proud of you and the young man you are becoming. He is such a great example to his younger brothers and sister. We had plans to take him down to get his license but with it being Columbus Day he is going to have to wait until Tuesday. I have mixed feelings with the license, one it will be nice to have help with all the running around I have to do but on the other hand I am not ready for him to drive. I don't like this getting older thing. I hope it is because he is my oldest that I am so nervous and that it will get eaiser and easier. Happy Birthday Ryker.
