Easter Give Away

Yesterday I finished up a bunch of spring and Easter crafts and decided to give one as a give away. So leave a comment about what you enjoy about Easter and the drawing ends on Friday.

Prepadness

I was called as our Ward Prepardness Person and I need some imput. I have some ideas of what I want to do. I have called the cannery and scheduled dates to come in and can but that won't happen until September. I want to put together a list or outline of how to get started on food storage. Any other ideas. What are things that you want or need to know about food storage??
I would love any advice.

Cute Girl

I stole these pictures off of Summer's Blog. Yesterday most of the kids went with my parents and Summer to church. Of course Emerson let Summer do her hair. She looks so cute. Why will she let Summer do her hair and not me?? She did say I could borrow Summer's stuff and do her hair like this for school but maybe only one time.

Fly Away

The Wind is blowing like crazy at our house. The boys decided to take blankets out and catch the wind. Poor Kaige had his blanket flying over his head and the wind threw him to the ground. They went out to the street and had roller blades and skateboards on their feet to see how far the wind would take them. They were flying.
Too bad I didn't get any pictures.

Missionary Prep

This Morning Ryker went to his first Missionary Prep Class. He was excited but a little nervous but he has an awesome cousin Rocky who came and picked him up. I am so glad that Rocky is such a good kid. My boys look up to him so much. He is so good to them. We were wondering if we were going to be able to get Jaxton to go in August (to Missionary Prep) but knowing that Rocky is going and will pick them up has got him excited to. Thanks Rocky for being such a grea example. I can't believe Ryker is old enough to go. I am glad that he is wanting to go as well. He is such a good kid. But it makes me feel old.

Emerson's Party

Emerson had so much fun at her party. Lots of cute little girls all dressed up. I hope they had fun.
Here they are decorating their purses

My friend Colony made the Cake. It is SO cute. I love it. Thanks Colony.

Party Time

I think I am just about ready. Emerson is so excited and I think maybe her mom is too. This has been a fun party to plan. Now the question is can I handle 13 little girls??

These are the treat bags I made. I filled them with glasses, necklace, ring, compact, treats, and notepad.
I wanted to make a banner for awhile now. It isn't quite what I wanted(kinda plain) but I ran out of time and forgot to get some of the stuff. But it will do.
Emily gave me some of her tissue balls and I made the rest. It just adds to the room. I want to make some and hang in Em's room.
We are playing pin the jewel on the tiara. Rayn drew a super cute Tiara and I think the girls will enjoy that. Then they get to decorate their purses, color and enjoy yummy cupcakes that the birthday girl decorated for them.

Last night Emerson asked Chris is he would come into her room on the morning of her birthday with mom and wake her up and both of us say Happy Birthday Emerson. So funny.

I have lost the battle

I love my boys to death but I have always wanted a little girl to dress up and fix their hair so pretty. I got my girl and she come with a mind of her own. I can't help her pick out her clothes or we have a major come apart. And the hair I am lucky if I can brush it. I don't want her going to school with red eyes and memories of mom yelling at her because I wanted her hair a certain way or her to wear a certain outfit.I remember little girls that looked like orphans and thinking My Girl will never look like that. Well I am eating my words butI have decided this is a battle I am not going to fight. I am sad to lose but, is it really worth it? Unfortuntely not. But, I will make sure she matches and wears clean clothes and that she at least brushes her hair. A sad day for me.

Science Project

This is a really busy week for me. Lots to do. To top it off Jaxton comes home from school today and tells me he has the science fair tomorrow. I said well I guess your going to have to miss it because we don't have anything ready. We get home and he goes and hangs out with friends. At 7:45 he comes upstairs and says that he HAS to have a project tomorrow. LOVELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So we get started on that after working on it for over an hour and not having any luck I call in reinforcements. Summer, Ellie and my mom come over and lend a hand. Ellie gets us started the right direction and then she and my mom had to leave. So It is me and the mad scientist and of course Jaxton.

The mad Scientist

We finally finish up. It is not the best job but it is done. And I kept my cool. Thanks for all the help guys.

Fancy Nancy Craft and Deals

I found this pattern online to make a no sew purse for the kids as a craft to decorate for Emerson's party. I glued everything together so there would be no burnt fingers and now they are ready for the girls to decorate.
I bought some cute flowers and princess foam stickers as well as jewels to make their bags pretty.

Sometimes I wonder about myself. Today I went into steamrollers to blow the pattern up and had them make me 13 copies. Duh I only needed one. So I have plenty of patterns if anyone wants any. You could do so many things with the pattern.

I went into Target today and got 2 pledges for free and 6 bags of cheetos for .29 cents. Target has coupons online and then you can stack them with a manufactor coupon. Makes for some really good deals.
I also went to Albertson's because I had double coupons there but unfortunately I was too late. They were pretty much wiped out of everything I wanted. I did get 6 boxes of crackers and 4 packages of cookies for 13.45

Fancy Nancy

This weekend is Emerson's Birthday. We haven't seen eye to eye on what to do for her birthday party and so I wasn't really excited to throw one. I was just going to have a regular birthday party and be done with it. On Saturday we went to Dinner with Zak, Heather, and Summer. Afterwards the girls went to Walmart and I was talking about the upcoming party. Heather told me of this idea that her friend was doing for her little girl the next day. A Fancy Nancy Party. So I changed everything and Heather helped me out with these darling invitations. I just picked them up last night. They are so cute.

These pictures don't even do the invitations justice. They are so cute. Emerson loves them. Thanks Heather.

I can't wait to have the party and I don't even like to throw parties. I found so many cute ideas.

Yesterday Chris worked so hard on our backyard getting it ready for the garden. I am so excited for this garden. We also are putting in a wood stove in the basement and he has been working on the stove. Friends of ours gave us a stove that was basically brand new it just had rust on it. Chris has been working on it and it looks like new. When we priced things out I couldn't believe how expensive it was so it has truly been a blessing to have this stove even though it has required some work. I can't wait to get it in and another check on the prepardness list. It feels so good to get things done. I have such a great hubby who is so good to help me (or do it all) with all the projects.
We were able to spend last night with the Wilson's. We have so much fun with them. They are so comfortable to around and they have the best stories.
We really had a good spring break.

Discovery Park

Today I met Kendra in Cedar to give her Andi. Then we headed to the Discovery Park there. This is a really fun park. The last couple of times we have gone (during Spring Break) we have froze but it was beautiful today. The kids had a great time and I got to visit with Kendra.

This week we have had a great time and so far only one injury. Kaige broke his toe at my Mom's on Sunday playing a friendly game of soccer with his cousins without shoes. He is so tough he never cried just hobbled into the house to sit. He has only cried when Ryker stepped on it and Slatin bent it and the toe next to it back. Gotta love the brotherly love. Lets hope it doesn't keep him out for his games next week.
I think tomorrow I am ready to stay home. I am tired. This having fun takes alot out of the mom. My arthritis is acting up and makes for a not so happy camper. So I think I will supervise Chris and the boys working on the garden.

My 365 gift

I left a comment on my sister's blog for a homeade gift and this is what I got. I love it...
Thanks Kendra

Red Cliffs

Today we headed up to Red Cliff's with the Blair family. It was so much fun. We went on a hike and found a great place for the mom's and younger kids to play (with shade) and the older kids went on up ahead and got into all kinds of trouble. They were soaking wet when they met back up with us. It has been at least 14 years since I had been to Red Cliff's. We were all tired but had such a great time.

Slatin and Issac

Ryker and Rhett horsing around

Emerson and Andi

Rayn my BFF

The posse that hung out with the mom's

Slatin and Issac climbed up the hill and went out on this rock for their picture.
Kaige and Aryn
Ryker and Rhett found this cool cave and they were also fighting over who would carry the water.
We missed Jaxton, he was hanging out with a friend.

Emerson and Andi

Yesterday Emmie and Andi wanted to play in the sprinklers. They didn't last long but they had fun.

These two girls are having so much fun together. While they were eating lunch today they were discussing which dad's toots stink the most. I think that Sam won. Andi said that he stinks the whole house up when he toots and the car as well. Too funny.
This afternoon we are heading to Red Cliff's with the Blair family. I haven't been there in a long time. This time I am packing plenty of Sunscreen. Monday my poor legs were fried.

Lookee what I made

I saw this idea online and thought it was so cute and thought I would see if I could make them. They turned out so cute. I found the flour sack dishtowels at Walmart and then picked up fabric and ric rac and went to work. What a cute gift idea. They were so much fun to make. I am also working on a bird one but it isn't quite finished. I am playing around with some other ideas as well.

Family Home Evening Kickball

Last Night we played Kickball with some friends for Family Home Evening. It was a lot of fun. Of course my team kicked butt.

The losing team.

Kaige running to home to score a point

The winning team

We had lots of yummy snacks.

We are lucky to have such great friends and to spend evenings like this enjoying everyones company.
Later this afternoon we are heading up to Grafton to hike and roast hot dogs. The kids are super excited. It should be fun.
