Happy New Year

Costochondritis

That is what I have. And it hurts. When we went out the other night and I started hurting I thought that I had Pericarditis. (I had this a couple of years ago it is infection around the heart) but the pain was different and it was traveling down my arm which really started to make me nervous. It made me think of heart attack because the pain in my chest was so bad. It ended up becoming a dull ache and yesterday I went in and they told me I have Costochondritis which is inflammation around the breast bone and rib cage. It KILLS...... They put me on some medication but he told me it can take 2 weeks to feel better. LOVELY.... and stress doesn't help it. Not that I stress or anything. I am glad to know what it is and hope it starts to feel better soon. I have a wonderful husband who is home for the rest of the week and can handle EVERYTHING. But again thanks to my family for helping me out I really appreciate and love you .

Thankful for the Priesthood and Family

Yesterday was a rough day for me. It started out fine but by the afternoon I wasn't feeling to hot. I thought it was something else and decided to still keep the plans that I had. That turned out to be a bad idea. I was hurting and a nervous not sure what was going on. I think I put a damper on the fun that we were suppose to be having. They were so good to see if I needed anything. (My sister's and I had a planned a little shopping trip, I hardly ever get to go with them when they shop and I was soooooo looking forward to it) When we got home I still was hurting and MY wonderful Dad and Wonderful Brother came over and gave me a blessing. (Chris is out of town) How thankful I am for them and the comfort they gave me. I am so thankful for the power of the priesthood and the comfort it give us. I am sooo thankful to have family close by who love me and love my family. Who are willing to drop whatever they are doing and come and help me. Who have continued to check on me today and to help me with whatever I need help with. We had plans again today to spend it in Pine Valley with my family and they have been willing to change those plans so that we can still spend time together. Thanks for all the help, love and support.

Cousins and Friends

They sure have fun playing together.

Christmas Day

We traveled so far for Christmas Eve and Day. Clear across town. We spent the night at my Mom and Dad's house with Aunt Summer. We went over after the Christmas Program. Aunt Summer let the kids open her gift to them which was games. We love games. We then acted out the Nativity with puppets and played some games. Aunt Summer showed them how to track Santa on the computer and they had fun doing that. The kids were soooooooooooo excited and had a hard time settling down and going to sleep. They all got to sleep upstairs in Aunt Summer's room with her. (lucky her) They asked Summer if she would wake them up at 7:01 this I didn't think would happen they don't ever sleep in. And they didn't this time either. They were up all night. At one point Emerson got up and asked Aunt Summer if she could please sleep in her bed with her, Summer said she could and Emerson said Thank you, you rock my universe. Finally at 5:45 Summer came downstairs to wake Chris and I up and said the kids were ready... I think Summer was ready.

We headed downstairs and had the kids stand in a line. (when we were growing up we always stood in a line by the door to the family room in the order of how we were opeing up presents. Either oldest to youngest or youngest to oldest, we always had to eat breakfast before we could go in then we would wait until Dad started a fire and turned on the Christmas lights. I took pity on the kids and didn't make them eat breakfast before going in.)

Aunt Summer looks more excited then the kids

The kids were super excited and I think happy with what they got. They only get 3 gifts(which repesent the 3 gifts that the wisemen brought) plus their stockings. It was a really nice Christmas. We have been doing this for a couple of years and I thought the kids would have a hard time with it but they don't. ( I have a harder time because it is hard to narrow down what to get)

Gotta love Grandma's new hat

After opeing up presents my parents made us pancakes and yes, Zak, Kendra,Kade and Taylor, I did jam and cut my own pancakes.
We started loading things up after awhile and this is what I looked over and saw. I thnk the Steglich kids wore poor Aunt Summer out. I think this was at 8:30

WE had a great Christmas and Thanks so much Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Summer for letting us spend the night and enjoy Christmas with you

Nativity

Aunt Summer made the CUTEST Nativity Puppets this year. This is how we acted out the Nativity. I want to make me a set (she has the pattens but she said it takes about 15hours) I think it would be worth it the kids really had fun.

Christmas Eve Program

For the last 5 or 6 years we have been going to the LaVerkin City Christmas Eve program. I remember going as a young child (way back then) and it being such a big deal. It sure has changed. For awhile there is wasn't much and it hasn't ever been like it was when I was younger but it is getting a little better. I think we mostly go because it is tradition and the kids do have fun sitting on Santa's lap. This year I guess Jaxton and Ryker think they are too COOL to sit on Santa's lap but we did get Kaige and Emerson to go up and tell Santa what they wanted. Slatin said he was good because he had written Santa a letter so he would know what he wanted.

We met up with my Mom, Dad and Aunt Summer at the program.

Christmas Eve

As a family we have the kids draw names and then on Christmas Eve we have them exchange gifts. This year we were sleeping at Grandma and Grandpa Beatty's so we let them open their gifts after lunch so they could enjoy them before we left.
Slatin had Emerson, he got her a Barbie doctor that had a little girl and 3 kitties with it. She was in Heaven

Ryker had Slatin and he got him Magnetics. Slatin loves anything he can build with

Emerson had Kaige and she got him and xbox 360 game

Kaige had Jaxton and he got him an xbox 360 game

Jaxton had Ryker and he got him a Star Wars Book. Ryker LOVES to read and so of course he was excited.

Merry Christmas

What is Christmas? It is tenderness for the past, courage for the present, hope for the future. It is a fervent wish that every cup may overflow with blessings rich and eternal, and that every path may lead to peace.

My Christmas wish.... that we all remember that Christ is the greatest gift we will receive this year or any other! Merry Christmas!

The Crane

I have a confession..... our family loves the crane machine. We (mainly me and the kids)have a hard time passing by one without dropping some money in and trying our luck. Saturday we were at Walmart and the kids and I were out by the doors waiting for Chris and the machines beckoned us. We weren't lucky but someone else was and her prize was stuck. Kaige spent about 10 minutes trying to get it out but didn't. It was too funny. We aren't the only ones who are hooked on the crane. Just ask Paula were all her change goes.

Kaige's arm is stuck in the door clear up to his shoulder.

SOOOOOOO MAD

The other day I got online to go thru my bank statement. I usually check every morning. Well there happened to be some interesting charges on my debit card that were quite HIGH. I was livid. Someone had stolen my debit number and were helping themselves to our money. I quickly called the store the one of the purchases had been made they wouldn't give me any information other than to say it looked like fraud and to contact my bank and the local police and then once the police had faxed over a police report then they could release information to me. How stupid is that. I called my bank and LUCKILY they were able to reverse all the charges. (I guess I caught it in time) They cancelled my debit card incase the CRIMINAL decided to help themselves again. I am so mad that someone can just do stuff like that. I did most of my Christmas shoppping on line and now I don't dare buy anything. I loved the computer and now not so much. It still makes me so mad when I think about it.

Chris's family had their Christmas Party last night and I wasn't able to go. I hadn't been feeling well and didn't want to pass it along. I felt so bad that I wasn't able to spend time with them. The kids came home and had lots of fun. I better have been missed.

Gingerbread houses

We decided to make a Gingerbread house for family night. I wasn't going to make it from scratch so I went and bought a kit at the store. I think Chris had as much or more fun than the kids did. It was fun to spend time with each other and to have Chris home. The kids had fun and now we just need to keep Emerson away from the icing. If she could she would eat icing all day. (no wonder she had to make a trip to the dentist) I was reading a friends blog (nicole) and she had such a great idea with an advent calendar that I want to do next year. Instead of gifts that they opened each day they did an activity together as a family. I LOVED this idea. So now the hard part is remembering and getting it together before December. Thanks for the great idea Nicole. You are such a great mom.

And the WiNnEr is.........

I have had a lot of fun doing these giveaway's so be sure to check back I think I will have another one after Christmas.... My family might be thinking I am favoring another family. Also I love to make these and if any of you want me to make you one you would just need to supply the yarn.
Tammy I will bring your blanket to you this week.

Guess who stopped by our house last night?

Last night it was Chris and I and the two youngest at home for a bit. We were sitting in the living room and with Emerson and Slatin and all of a sudden we hear bells and SANTA burst into our house HO HO HO HO HO HO HO. Slatin and Emerson jump up (I think they were a little starlted and Em was a little scared) You should have seen their faces. They had huge smiles on their faces. They were so excited that Santa came to see them. Santa said "ho ho ho and Merry Christmas" and was gone, off to other little boys and girls houses.

Thanks Santa for stopping by. The other boys were sad that they missed Santa.

Waiting for Dad

This is what happens when we send Dad into a store and we are left with a camera and LOTS of time waiting for him. Chris is not a fast mover and sometimes we get a little bored waiting for him. So we have some fun.
