Burlap Wreath

I Love Burlap. It is a mess to work with but I love what you can do with it. I found another cute wreath idea with burlap and decided to give it a try.

Christmas Card Pictures

I have been wanting to take a picture of the kids for Christmas Cards and since today we were having family pictures with my family I hurried and snapped before we left. I love this one.

Christmas Wreath

I have seen darling wreaths made out of a wire coat hanger and christmas bulbs on some craft sites I love to stalk and decided that I had to have one. This is the results. I really wanted to make a purple, silver and green one but couldn't find any at the store I was at so I went with traditional red and green. I had some great helpers, (kaige and emerson).

Happy Thanksgiving

We spent Thanksgiving Afternoon with the Gubler's. After Lunch we gathered our large group together. (I say this sarcastically because their was no one there) to hike down to Confluence park to show them the old Dairy Farm that my Grandpa use to own. Along the way we found the rope swing that our family had played on over the summer. So of course we had to try it out.
Ryker gave it a try.................
Tim gave it a try......................... and then it was Summer's turn................
Someone didn't make it over the "BIG" river........................
I think the water was a little Chilly

This is what happened when Grandma tried the rope swing.

The hike up was a hike but the whole time I couldn't stop laughing. As I am typing this I can't stop laughing.
A thanksgiving to remember.

My knot is fraying

Have you ever heard the saying "when you reach the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on"? well I have reached the end and my knot is fraying. I keep telling myself, Deep breaths, Deep breaths. It is just one of those days (or weeks)
There is not enough time in the day lately to get everything done.
I am hoping tomorrow looks better.
Okay enough complaining.

Go Hurricane Tigers

My mom and I and the older three boys are heading up to the Hurricane Tigers game. Go Tigers. I hope I survive being away from home. I know some of you out there are surprised I am leaving La Verkin. I made my mom and I these cute hats, and my sister made us these cute bracelets. (I have the bestest sister). I don't look forward to being cold and my boys are actually going to have to wear pants. (let me tell you that was a fight) but the things we do for our kids. The boys are soooo excited to go. It will be fun to visit with my mom.

Christmas Crafts

Last week I had a bunch of friends come over and we made Christmas Countdown blocks. I had already made a set but when I saw the cute paper they brought I had to re-do mine. I really like this new paper.

My friend and I made these cute mangers. (Thanks Jami) She is the bestest ever. For the first time I drilled thru wood myself. Pat myself on the back. I was so excited how they turned out.

Help

This year we decided that when we draw names for Christmas (in our little family) the gifts will be homemade. Some of the kids are really excited and some, not so much. We only do 3 gifts at christmas time representing the 3 gifts the Wiseman gave our Savior. So when some of the kids heard that the gift that they give each other had to be homemade, well lets just say some were not jumping for joy. I really think once they start making their gift for their sibling they will change their mind. I am excited to do this but I am stumped on what ideas to give for the older boys. We are drawing names tonight because I think that it is going to take some time to get them all done. Any suggestions would be great for the older 2 boys.

I was also asked to give the Young Women's Christmas lesson (which SCARES the heck out of me) any ideas????????????

Love Her

This is a picture of Kendra's little girl smiling. Kendra took Christmas pictures today of the girls and after a couple of these shots she had to tell addi NOT to smile. What a cutie. We love her.

SuPpOrT

Don't you just love good support.

FHE

Last night for FHE we went to the church with some friends and had FHE. The bishop gave a lesson on the fiery Serpents
Before going to the church all the moms took ties (thanks kendra) and filled the bottoms with beans and sewed them shut. After the lesson the kids sent them flying.
Everyone had a great time.

whether throwing the snakes or dancing with them
We had a few get stuck up high but they were rescued.
A few snakes lost their lives but all in all it was a very fun night. Before ending, a game of horse had to be played and I think I will say Brandi won. What do you think Brandi???

A good day.

We had a great Stake Conference today and a wonderful Adult session last night. It has made me even more aware and determined to protect my family. Tomorrow we are disconnecting cable. (Chris has been wanting to for a long time but the tv has kept me company while he has been gone and I have been dragging my feet) We set down with the kids and helped themand ourselves to make some personal goals as well as family goals. We have great kids and I am so proud of them and love them so much. I just want the very best for them.

This is what I get to do today.

Went and picked up more chicken. This time I think I am just going to clean it, cut it, and freeze it.

Phew..... It's over.

Last night ended our Football Season. It was a busy couple of months running Jaxton and then Kaige back in forth to practices and games. They had fun and it was fun to watch. I will miss watching the game but am so ready for things to slow down a little. Ryker has 2 more games and then soccer will be over until spring. I love watching all the games I just hate running them back in forth to practices.

Jaxton just informed he wants to sign up for Basketball.

Happy Halloween

Love her red lipstick she found and man is she in love with the camera

This year we only had 2 kids go trick or treating with us, the others went either to parties or with friends. It was different. I didn't think Em and Slatin would last very long and they didn't so we ended the night with Dairy Queen which was a nice treat for mom and dad.
