Chocolate anyone???????

So I found this great recipe for some yummy chocolates and had to try them out to give to a few good friends and take to work. Summer wanted to make some for her work and so tonight we got to work. We started out with a package of these Cut them up so pretty Step 2: you need a package of this

They might not look real pretty but they tasted great, just ask the lucky people who got them.

We got a jump start on April Fools and boy did we fool some fools.

Now to take them to work tomorrow. Hope I still have a job.

Cupcakes anyone?

Emerson wanted a cupcake birthday party. I let her invite 5 girls and my mom made all of them the cutest chef hat and matching apron. Thanks mom, they were so cute. Chef Emerson Riley, Rachel, Scotland, Cassidy, Emerson and Lexi We decorated cupcakes and sugar cookies that were cut out as cupcakes. (after planning the party,Em informs me that she doesn't like cupcakes, WHAT????? so luckily Aunt Claudia had a cute cupcake cookie cutter.

Aunt Summer came with her cute apron to help out. I found the cutest favor boxes that looked like a yummy cupcake that we filled with treats.

I first saw these cute topiary here http://craftomaniac.blogspot.com/ and since we are doing a cupcake party I made some cupcake topiarys. The cupcakes are the cute favor boxes I found. I think she had a fun day. I just can't get over that she is 8.

Happy Birthday Emerson

My baby is 8 years old today. I can't believe it. I am excited for her to be baptized but sad that she is old enough to be baptized. I don't know what we would do without Miss Em. She sure makes our world brighter. Love you Emerson, Happy Birthday Em.

Em's turning 8

Summer and I went out to the stake farm and took Em's baptism pictures. I thought they turned out cute. I would have liked to have them done professionally but these will have to do.

We took along Em's best friend and took some pictures of her in her baptism dress as well.

Her dress was made out of my wedding dress by a wonderful lady in our ward. I love how it turned out and looks on Em. She actually will wear the dress and likes it too. A big plus.

Hiking

Yesterday we met up with Taylor and Ellie's family and took the kids hiking. It was fun to get out and play.

This morning I took this kid to get his learner's permit.

When we got home Chris and Slatin filled my flower beds up with rock. I will miss the flowers but I was just a little tired of supplying the neighbor cats with a bathroom. Farewell Stinky cats.

This and That

We are going on week 2 of soccer and so far only 2 outbursts out of the 3 times she has played. I painted one of the chairs today. Em picked out the color. (red to match her room) I still haven't decided what color to paint the other one.

I hated the pillows that came with our couch so I covered them with some cute fabric.

I am so excited to work on this bookshelf I picke up at the DI for only 6 dollars. It will fit perfectly on top of Em's dresser,

I can't begin to tell you how excited I am for spring break. We don't really have any big plans but not having to run kids back in forth to practice and games is going to be SWEET!!!!!!!! I love having them involved but it will be nice to regroup and take a breather.
Ryker played Tuesday and Friday and they won both games. Way to go JV. Jaxton played today they played 15 year olds (he and most of his team are 13) it was a great game with Hurricane taking the win. Great job Jman. Slatin and Kaige both had games but missed them to head up to Disney on Ice with Grandma and cousins. Lucky.

Em played on Thursday and she said she doesn't know if they won or not she was just hot.

It was a great day and what made it even better is Chris is back in town. He has been working out of town for the past 3 months. It will be nice to have him home.

I love yard sales

Saturday I scored these babies for $2.00. I can't wait to paint them and maybe add a cushion to them. The kids have all dubbes them but I don't think I want to share.

Ryker played Friday Night against Cedar and they tied and then Saturday they played Beaver and kicked butt 10-1. I wasn't able to go up but Chris did. (hmm how did that work out, a peaceful drive ALONE with no kids screaming in the background, watching not one but 2 games uninterrupted and a peaceful ride home. Not sure how he lucked out) Em played on Thursday and Friday and tied. She was so excited to wear her socks, jersey and shin guards on Thursday but by Friday, not so much. We will see how this week goes.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays I pick up Kaige and his friend Tate at the Intermediate school after practice and then we head up to the Middle school to pick up, but we usually have about a 45 minute to hour wait for Ryker. So what do we do??????????? we prank text. Don't be hatin' if you get one from us.
THe other day we drove by the girls track team and tate puts his hand up to his ear like a phone and mouths call me. We head up to the middle school and drive past this group of MEN runners and Kaige puts his hand up to his ear like phone and mouths call me. Totally cracked us up.
I have to write these things down or I will forget.
Chris has been gone ALOT and Em has been sleeping in my bed, a couple of weeks ago she said lets make a deal I will sleep in your bed when Dad is gone and sleep in my bed when he is home. On Wed I went with Summer and Ryker put them to bed and had Em sleep in her bed. I wake up at midnight to her by the side of my bed and she says.....
WE HAD A DEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
