Going Private

Chris went to a fireside tonight about the Internet and we have decided that is time to go private. If you would like an invite please leave your email. (even if you have left it before please leave it again.) I will be setting it to private in the next couple of days.

Shutters

2 weeks ago Chris and I were at the DI and I found some white shutters. I wanted to make a headboard out of them but unfortunately there was only 2 but I grabbed them anyways. Yesterday I painted them black and today Chris hung them up in the kitchen. I am loving them. Thanks Honey for helping me out.

WooHOO

Chris is home. WooHoo. I am turning over all parenting and locking myself in my room for the weekend. (I can only wish) This week was so busy and next week is going to be insane so I am thinking Chris needs to get his fill in with the kids sports and take over today and tomorrows practices and games. He would too. He is such a good guy. Last night's craft party was a blast. The hostess and her little gems went to so much work and it was so much fun. I came home with a darling wood Boo to add to my halloween stash. It was nice to get out and enjoy adult conversation. So my mom, sisters, and sister -n- laws are going up to witch's Night out (thanks Jill for the idea, you guys looked like you had so much fun last year we had to do it) and I need ideas for a costume. Anyone????

Had to throw this picture in. This is what the boys (including Chris)came home with from their last yard sale find

Halloween Crafts.

At least twice a year a group of great ladies have a craft party. We have been doing this for YEARS. We usually do it around Halloween and Christmas and sometimes we throw in a spring one. They are so much fun and I love going. With one tonight I needed a gift which got me in a craftin' mood.

Making a christmas countdown soon
Not all of these will be going to the party, I had to keep some for my halloween stash.

Picture Day

All ready for Picture day at school.

Waste Not

I don't like to waste anything but I sure hope when Emerson gets older I won't resort to this......

From me to you.

Looks like someone needs to see a dentist. I made these for Em and they are too big for her so if anyone wants them let me know. They are yours. Don't all comment at once.

Messing Around

I think I figured out how to make an adult hat out of the pattern I had and once I finished it the kids had to try it on. Of course the camera had to come out.

Bottling

This week my friend hooked me up with some fruit. Thursday and Friday were all about bottling. We got 2 cases of peaches and box of pears and a bag of apples. I ended up with 40 bottles of peaches, 21 bottles of pears and and only 3 bottles of apples. I have never bottled apples or pears before and don't think I will again. The pears were a pain to do and the apples didn't go very far. I bottled the apples with red hots and can't wait to see how they taste.

Pretty pears

I forgot to take a picture of the apples.

The Winners are........

GiVe AwAY

I am lovin' this hat. I bought the pattern and figured it out all by myself. I even found a willing model. The hat comes in 4 sizes and this one is for a 3-6 (pink one)

The brown and pink is for a 6-12.

The flower is huge and I love it and thought you might too. So all you need to do is leave a comment and I will draw the winner on Saturday. (Jill, still trying to figure out the booties, wouldn't it be so cute to have a set)

FOOTBALL

Jaxton is #51

Jaxton had his first game last night. They didn't win but they played so good and so hard. I know NOTHING about football but it was really fun to go and watch him last night. Thanks soooooooooooooooooooooo much Daniela for taking the younger ones for most of it. It was a much needed break and it was so nice to be able to enjoy the game.

A "grea"t ending to a "great" day.

This has been one of those days (actually weeks) and to top if off Jaxton comes home from scouts very upset. He was bitten several times by a dog at the activity and not only was he scared but he was hurt. I have been trying to live by this motto "come what may and love it" but I am not sure I can find anything to "love" about this. Not a fun night.
But he is asleep now and lets hope he stays that way.

Emie lou hoo

Today after Ryker's first soccer game we took the kids to dinner. It was fun. After dinner we ran to the mall to look for a music book for Ryker. Emie lou hoo and I headed to the fun stores. I had a gift certificate from my birthday burning a hole in my pocket. We went into Maurices. Emerson told me she would help me look and wanted to know my size. I told her what to look for and she looks at me and says "are you sure your that size?" . We go into the dressing room and as I start trying on she says "come on, lets get this party started." I put on a pair of capris and she says "what do you think?" I told her I didn't like them and she said "Why, because they give you a wedgie?" She wanted me to put the clothes in piles of what I want, what I don't want and what I need to decide on. She had lots of other things wonderful things to say and I had to constantly tell her to shush.

Fireplace

This is what Chris has been working on the last couple of weeks and we are almost done. Today we are putting in the hearth and tile and then hopefully we can get the stove put in and hooked up. Putting cultured stone in has really been a blessing. Chris was able to trade out wood we had for some of the stone and the rest a friend from work gave him. When we were pricing it out it would have cost us almost $2000 for the wall. Things really fell into place. The hearth we were given and the tile as well. It is going to look so nice. Chris is going to finish the ends off with Aspen and we are going to have wood along the bottom concrete walls. I can't wait to have a finished family room and especially a fire place. Next up, getting wood. Having 4 boys will come in handy.

He's Back

My Brother Taylor has been gone since May. He has been at boot camp for National Gaurd. I am so glad to have him home. I am sure that his wife and little boy are even more so. I am so proud of Taylor and his decision to serve our country. He is lucky to have such a great wife who supports him and picked up the slack while he was "playing".
Waiting for Daddy to come off the plane.

Of course Summer has to be a picture hog and jump in.

Oh the two love birds. Poor Tim, he just got out of the hospital a couple of days ago after being in for a week. He had to have major surgery and is still having complications but wanted to come and welcome Taylor.

Football

Jaxton's team scrimmeaged (not sure if that is correct spelling) He has a good team with great coaches and I think he is really excited to play. It really stinks that all his games will be played in Little Valley when we have a football field in town. It was fun to watch but I can't wait to see them play a game. He was nervous but after last night I think he is ready to go.

Flag Football

Last night Chris and the boys went to play flag football with some other friends and their dads. Em and I went along to cheer them on. The boys all jump out of the car run up to their friends and they are ready to play. The dads all have to stretch out before they can even attempt the game. It was so funny to see the kids just ready to go while the old men had to make sure their muscles were limber and stretched.

I think the dad's used the kids as an excuse to play. They sooo got into the game. It was too funny to watch. I wish I would have brought my camera. I just hope they all can walk today.

Woo Hoo

Jaxton received the priesthood last Sunday. We are so proud of him and the Young man he is becoming. I can see such a change in Jaxton. We love him so much.

Miracles do happen. We got him in a suit and tie. Doesn't he look sharp.

Never a dull moment

This morning Emerson went out to feed the cat off the back deck. Chris keeps a BB gun by the back door to shoot at the stray cats that think they can help themselves to the food. The boys have decided that they need to help their dad with this cause. Jaxton went outside when he saw a cat come up to eat. The cat saw Jax and took off and Jax brought the gun in the house. Kaige decided he wanted to check the gun out and sat down on the kitchen bench facing about a foot from the wall and the gun went off. He was so lucky he had it pointed up instead of level or I am sure we would be paying the insta care another visit. Of course NO one wants to take the blame. Kaige swears he didn't touch the trigger and Jaxton says he never cocked the gun. Hmmmmmmm. Like I said never a dull moment.

It's Over

My mom, sister -n-laws, a friend and I had a booth in Peach Days. It was a lot of work and I am glad to be done. Chris and the Kids were so good to help out.

What do you get.....

What do you get when you take a boy, a bike, and a bunch of kids wanting to get home????
The answer..................................... A sad boy with a chipped front tooth.
Lovely...
Slatin was on his way home from school with Kaige, Trevor and the rest of the school. It was a mad dash to cross the crosswalk and Slatin's bike tire hit into another kid causing Slatin to crash catching his face with his front teeth.
Luckily we were able to get into the dentist and they were able to fix the tooth. Now we play the waiting game to see if the tooth survives.

Brandi, this is why I never made it over to your house. Sorry. Kendra J. if you have another baby I will make you as many shoes as you want.

New Project

I just got the pattern to make these cute shoes. I can't wait. Hopefully mine will turn out as cute as these.
I just can't start working on them after Saturday. Can't wait.
