Happy Halloween

The Kids were all so excited last night to get their costumes ready. They can't wait to go trick or treating. This morning I took them to school and stayed and watched the costume parade. This is sad to say but this is my first time going. I don't know why I haven't gone before and that is sad. They had fun. Ryker and Jaxton came up with their own costumes. Ryker a rocker and Jaxton taped a quarter to his back and he is a quarterback. Kaige is a football player, slatin a pirate and Emerson is a witch. This morning she was a mean witch (she threw a fit because her tights weren't just right) and right now she is a sweet witch. Can't wait for all the candy tonight.

Emerson in the parade at school

Mr. Rocker

Playing around with the color spray. I want to paint a bulls eye on chris head but I don't know if I can convince him

Little Miss Emerson

Family

I am in love with this picture.

New picture

My Niece AMBERLY took our family pictures a week or so ago. She did such an awesome job. They are all so good. I put one of the pictures that she took on top. She had such great ideas and she has great helpers too who aren't afraid to do what it takes to get the shot. Thanks Amberly (and staff) we love the pictures.

Primary Program

Our Primary Program was yesterday and the kids did a great job. This was Jaxton's last year. (which he decided to be his stubborn little self and wouldn't go up. what a stinker) he will be in Young Men's next year. YIKES.... Great job to the Primary Presidency. I remember preparing for the program and it is tough. They were awesome.

As for running I only ran once last week because I was sick. Today kicked my butt. I ran the complete mile but had to walk the 2nd mile I was beat. It was so hard to start again. But I am proud I did it and a big thanks to my brother who walked the last mile with me. Now my goal for Wed is a mile and a half straight running. Can I do it, I hope so.

Fun Times

The kids decided to stuff their pjs with clothes to see how big they can get. Lots of fun

Not good when she comes up saying she looks like me after she has stuffed her clothes

The other day we were looking at old pictures and there is one of Chris and my brother Zak setting on the back of a banana tube waiting to be pulled by the boat. This was about 12 years ago and when Chris had hair (which was a little long) and he was heavier. I said to Kaige who do you think this is??? he looks at the picture and says YOU. WHAT are you kidding me. I made sure he knew that wasn't me that is was his DAD.... Gotta love kids.

Family Home Evening

Tonight we were able to have FHE with Dad. Chris is in town for 3 weeks (hopefully longer) We had a lesson and then treats. Yummy rootbeer floats. Ryker was the scooper. It is so nice to have Chris home. It will be an adjustment for him, he has been out of town for sooo long he is only use to taking care of himself. I was loving having help with homework and getting kids ready for bed and all that fun stuff. It is 8:30 and he is in bed. I took pity on him and sent him up early. (of course after homework).

Jaxton having to work on his homework while waiting for his rootbeer float. That is what happens when you "forget" to bring your homework home for a couple of days. What a stinker.

Some Christmas catalogs came in the mail today and the kids have had such a fun time looking thru them and circling what they want Santa to bring them.

One Tired Dad

Notice the phone Kaige has. Summer gave me her old cell phone because we are thinking of adding it to our plan so that Ryker has a phone to take with him when he goes to events and such so that he can get ahold of us. We haven't done anything with it yet because we still are undecided. Well the boys think this phone is the neatest thing ever. They have taken it to school to show their friends that they have a cell phone.Every morning it is a fight to see who gets it. Emerson dances to all the rings. It cracks us up. The phone part doesn't even work because we haven't turned it on but they are loving it.

The middle of nowhere

Yesterday I decided to load up my hubby and kids (which is so not like me) and head out to Kendra's. I think everyone was shocked that not only was I leaving the county but the state. But guys I did it. We got there around 1:00 our time and had a great time. We played tether ball, WII, road the four wheelers and played. I was even brave and took the 4 wheeler out. The moores fed us dinner and then we packed up and headed home. It was a great time. Thanks Moores for letting us come and hang out.

Gotcha

Hmmm some people are so sneaky. I wonder where the gaurd dog was??????

Emerson and her pumpkin

Emerson and Ryker walked down to Farmers Market yesterday so she could pick out a pumpkin. They brought it home and Emerson wanted to paint it so we got her set up on porch and she had a ball painting her pumpkin. She even had a Slatin helping

Football

Flag Football has come to an end at our house. Next year Tackle YIKES!!!. Jaxton and Kaige were both on the same team and had a great time. We didn't win the championship but we came away with some from memories and good times. They had an AWESOME coach who did such a great job. This was the best year I think for them. Kaige didn't want to play this year but decided to at the last minute and he was glad he did.
