Girls Weekend 2010

Last Friday we had a girls' weekend. My mom, sister's and sister-in-laws headed up to Pine Valley for the night. Summer surprised us with these awesome shirts that Shelby and her designed.

THey turned out so cute. We all loved them. My mom treated us to dinner at Marv's and we all wore our shirts. The guy working the counter asked us if we were at Girls camp. Love it.

We came back to the cabin and then the fun really began. We did a white elephant exchange and then played a mean game of pollyanna.

Kendra and Becky showed us how limber they are.

My mom even got to invite her sister along. Thanks for coming Aunt Claudia and joining in on the fun. She schooled us on the dice game.

One of the bestest sisters ever.

Shelby got to come up and enjoy the fun with us this year. She drove Summer and I up to Pine Valley. She has her learners permit and did really good I only got car sick once.

I held onto my record.

When it hit midnight, the fun really began and we played a great game of charades. We finally fell asleep at 2:30 (if you could call it sleep, the air conditioning unit wasn't working and we roasted)

I shared a room with my sisters and it was hilarious to listen to them. I got my own bed and Kendra and Summer shared this tiny little double bed. All I could hear was "get off my blanket, your touching me, MOVE, are your feet hanging off the end of the bed like mine?"

we woke up at 6 a.m. (not because we wanted to)

we had breakfast, played more games and then headed home. It was alot of fun. I almost didn't go but I am so glad that I did.
Thanks mom for putting this together and thanks Summer for the darling shirts.

Another Scout Camp

Jaxton left for Scout Camp this morning. He will be gone until Saturday. I know he will have fun and he has great leaders. He wasn't planning on going but we have a GREAT 2nd counselor in the Bishopric who has made it possible for him to go. My heart is full of gratitude for this man.

On a side note. Chris was put in as Young Men's President yesterday. I am excited for him he will do such a good job. Love you Honey.

Varsity Scout Camp

Ryker is heading off this morning to Scout camp. He is excited to go, they have a lot of fun things planned. I will miss him. He helps me out so much. I let him pack his stuff and I am a little nervous, I made him take a jacket which he assures me he won't need. Better safe than sorry. Have Fun.
This morning we had to get up a little earlier than usual to have family scriptures before Ryker left. It was too early for this little girl, I guess. This is right after scripture and prayer. Notice the drool mark on the couch? That was where her face was planted during scriptures. I wonder if she got anything out of it.

Sheep Bridge 2010

Monday Chris had it off so we took the kids up to Sheep Bridge. This is the first time we have been up there this Summer. we rode the rapids

and caught......
a ton of these

We played in the sand and built castles

and we were missing one... Here is where we get a parent of the year award. Sunday night we were lighting off sparklers and we now know why it is so important to wear footwear. Kaige stepped on a sparkler that had just dropped on the ground and was still going. We took him in the house to check it out and the smell was awful. It reminded me of when a animal is branded. Yuck. He was really hurting. Can't you tell in the picture.
Today it looks much better. He was more worried about not being able to play soccer than anything. BECAUSE........
HE MADE THE SOCCER TEAM. WE HAVE ONE EXCITED BOY.
He loves soccer. We haven't been able to put him on a team because other than city sports they don't have one set up for his age over here. But we found one in St. George and even though it will mean lots of time in the car it will be worth it.
