Emerson's Opera

Emerson's 2nd grade class put on an opera. It was on Rocks. She was a cave woman.

She was excited to perform and the class did a great job.

I don't know if it is just me but I seriously can't wait until school is out. Usually it is the complete opposite but I am worn out. It seems like we are running all over the place and there is something going on all the time. Soccer is coming to an end, next weekend will be the last of club soccer until Summer games. I enjoyed going and watching all of them play just not all the running around.

Hiiiiiiii YAAAAAAAAh

While we were at Kaige's soccer game on Saturday they were having a yard sale in the parking lot and Slatin scored a huge duffle bag of Karate stuff. Hopefully no one gets hurt, it came with all kinds of fun things. Chris also scored (at the yard Sale) this sweet guitar for only 55 bucks. It is in mint condition and beautiful.

Teacher Appreciation

175 teacher appreciation gifts -----done

21 personal teacher appreciation gifts-----Done

We have some of the best Teachers and Office staff at LaVerkin Elementary. I look forward to this time of year to let them know how much my family appreciates them.
I am so glad their are creative people out there in blog land that I can "borrow" their ideas.

Broadway Magic Baby

Ryker, Kaige, Slatin, and Emerson were in Broadway magic this last Thursday and Friday. Emerson was in her dance group, and also in Daniela's group with Kaige and Slatin.

Collin was her dance partner for the first group.

Thursday she wore her hair down and Friday we pulled it back in a pony and she looked so pretty.

Ethan was her partner in the 2nd group

Ryker was in another one of Daniela's groups and his partner was Ashley.

This is the only picture I could get of Kaige and Slatin from where I was sitting and it isn't a very good one. Slatins partner was McKayla and Kaiges partner was Maren.

Jaxton got to watch the show with us.

Best friends.

I love that the kids get to do this each year (hint hint Daniela) It makes for a busy time but a fun time.

Family Home Evening Kickball

Monday we played Kickball with the Stackhouses for Family Home evening. Stackhouses against Steglich's I won't tell you who won only that it started with an S.

Slatin kicking the ball.

Emerson and Lexi entertained us with cartwheels

Of course we had to throw in a little soccer

and climbing

She didn't want to play kickball so she sat like this for the first part and then Lexi was able to talk her into playing the last little bit and she had fun.

Okay Steglich's won

Dog pile on Ryker

Easter Weekend

Saturday morning we went to the city Easter Egg hunt. Only Em and Slatin were young enough to hunt for eggs. It went fast. Real fast. Started at 9 and we were in our car to head home at 9:07. But Em and Slatin had fun.

Wishing they could hunt

Later that afternoon we headed over to my mom and dad's for their annual easter egg hunt.
Dad and Tripp.

We haven't Taylor, Ellie, Deacon or Tripp for almost a month. Taylor had to go up north for almost all of April to train for when he leaves to head to Iraq for 400 days in June. Stay Safe Taylor. We love you.

Back on the band wagon

I took the plunge and started bottling chicken again. Our supply was getting low and Farmers has a great deal every Tuesday on chicken. 35 jars down 7o plus left. I don't enjoy it until after I pull the jars out of the pressure cooker and line them up on my shelf then comes the enjoyment. Alot of work and time but so worth it.
I made these cute candlestick candy holders after seeing some online. I had to order these wooden candlesticks on line
But then I found glass ones at the dollar store, spray painted the candlestick and lids white and there you have it. Cheaper and I think just as cute. Makes for a great Birthday gift huh Claudia (my table sure looks messy, sorry) My kids will be gone for a couple of days so they took in their easter gifts to their teachers and the office, I saw these on a blog and thought they would be fun to make, when I showed Chris he said they looked like pineapples WHAT????? They are suppose to be carrots. I hope no one else thinks they are pineapples.

Ryker has his last home soccer game tonight. He has his last game next Tuesday. It will be bitter sweet. He sure has loved playing and I have loved going to watch but it will be nice to slow (if life will) down.
