THings to think about.

THINGS TO THINK ABOUT !
1. You spend the first two years of their life teaching them to walk and talk. Then you spend the next sixteen telling them to sit down and shut up.
2. Grandchildren are God's reward for not killing your own children.
3. Mothers of teens now know why some animals eat their young. Except if they have a little girl named Emerson. Holy Cows she is driving me crazy.
4. Children seldom misquote you. In fact, they usually repeat word for word what you shouldn't have said. Oh man has this happened to us.
5. The main purpose of holding children's parties is to remind yourself that there are children more awful than your own
6. We childproofed our homes, but they are still getting in.

Just got this little Email from my Dad. It made me a laugh which was nice because it has been one of those days. Why do people have to be mean?????????????????????

I am

I AM

I am Flippin’ Amazing and humble.
I wonder what war is like,
I hear music Booming.
I see with my eyes.
I want to go skydiving.
I am Flippin’ Amazing and humble.

I pretend to be a secret agent.
I feel bored.
I touch sound.
I worry that I won’t have any food.
I Cry… HAHA! That’s a good one!
I am Flippin’ Amazing and humble.

I understand that everybody should have at least some common sense.
I say “Man who run in front of car get tired, man who run behind car get exhausted, man on top of car get winded, and man who run next to car……… pretty Dang fast!
I dream we didn’t have to write this poem.
I try to be a better me.
I hope I get an A on this poem!
I am Flippin’ Amazing and humble.

This is Ryker's poem for language arts. I got a kick out of it and had to post it. He is pretty amazing. Saturday he was asked to go to the movies with a girl he likes and a bunch of friends and he really wanted to go but when he found out what movie was playing he made the decision (even though he REALLY wanted to go) to say no and when asked why he told them it wasn't an appropriate movie to go see and would they want to see a different one.? The group still decided to go but Sunday when he was talking to the one of the girls she told him that they never should have gone to see the movie, she felt bad for going and they ended up walking out of the movie before it was halfway over. I am so glad Ryker was and is strong enough to make those decisions on his own. It is so hard to not follow the crowd and I am so thankful that he his Flippin' Amazing.

Head Bands

I love the internet. I found a tutorial on line to make ribbon headbands and after a couple of attempts this is what I came up with. This one goes all the way around and attaches in the back. okay Amberly, after I saw how cute Maili looked in the "School" pictures and the cute headband? she had. I wanted Em to have something like it. This is what I came up with. I can't wait to have her wear it when you take her pictures. She (I) is so excited to have them done.

I glued this one on to a headband. I think I want to try and add some fabric flowers to some of them.
They are fun to make they just take a LOT Of ribbon.

Em's Room

I have seen these darling ruffle pillows on line and I finally felt brave enough to attempt one. They are easier than I thought. I made one for Em's room. The fabric is a little busy but I wanted to use what I had on my first one and I really like it.

I am in love with the subway art and had to make one up for Ms. Em's room. I think I could add a few more words but for now I like it. I just noticed I need to add an s to always. oops.

SoCcEr TiMe

Kaige made the Arsenol Soccer team in St. George. We have spent and will spend a lot of time running him down to practices and games but it has been worth it. He played his first game on Saturday and they won. Go Arsenol. This picture was taken after the soccer game. He was so sweaty and red, and it was only 10:30 in the morning.

Kaige lives and breathes soccer. The team is really good and the coach is a great coach but some (most) of Kaige's teammates have a problem with language. I was worried about how that would affect Kaige but I am so proud of him and the example he is setting by not participating in the language and the mouthing off to other players. He is such a good kid. Way to go Kaige. Great Job.

Yard Sale Finds

We stopped at a Yard Sale on Saturday and I sat in the car while Chris and the boys checked it out. This is what Slatin spent his money on. The helmet and the belt were worn in the Vietnam war. He is in Heaven. The guy selling the stuff told Slatin that they use to use their helmets to eat out of and so of course Slatin wants to try that out. I don't think so. But he is having a blast with his treasures.

a new friend?????

So last night Chris was at Young Men's and he had a young man come up to him and want to know if he could come over and play. Chris told him he wasn't going to be home and the boys were busy with sports so the young man asked if he could come and play with me. Chris told him I was going to be gone to a soccer game and he went thru the week asking what day would work. I must be popular or the kid is desparate. I think the latter.
