Em's hair is FINALLY getting Long.

Em's hair is finally getting long and we can do some fun things with it. For Church today we pulled half of it up and put it in a heart. She actually liked it.

When Ryker babysits

We came home to this......

I love the leg up and the face buried in the blanket. I guess he was wore out. He was dead to the world.

Almost done.

Em's Valentines are done for her class, now we just need to work on the ones for her Dance. I found a super cute idea I want to try out. Hope it works out. The boys could care less what they give for Valentines day so it has been fun to have a girl. I was hoping to put 2 in each bag but didn't have enough so they look a little lonely. Maybe we will have to attach a candy or something.
Em wanted to give her teacher an owl (like Jaxton was giving his "girl"friends) but I am burnt out on crocheting so we made one out of fabric. Sometimes I think it is cute and sometimes when I look at it, it looks mean. Lets hope it looks cute on Friday.

I had to hurry and get Valentines put together because I have to focus on the ward Valentine dance coming up next friday. I am trying to make it fun but low key and low stress on me and the committee. I will be glad to have it over.
I made pillows for all the kids for Valentines they have a pocket on the front and starting on Monday I will put the pillows out and each day they will have a note or treat from me in it. I finally got them done yesterday. I made one for Chris and I have had FUN coming up with things to put in it for him. I hope they get excited and can't wait to see what is in the pocket the next day. ( I know Chris and the little ones will be excited, it is the older ones who you never know)
We finally have a open weekend where we aren't running Ryker to Indoor soccer. I can't wait to get Chris started on a honey do list. I know he is just as excited.

Yummy Bread

Kaige came home from scouts a couple of weeks ago raving about some yummy bread his scout leader had made, he had me ask her for the recipe and since then this has been a weekly must have for Chris and the kids. They inhale this bread. Em wants it in her lunch every day. So I am posting the recipe for anyone else who wants some Yummy bread.
In one bowl
3 eggs
1 c oil (or 1/2 oil and 1/2 c applesauce)
3 1/3 c milk
1/2 t. vanilla
In another large bowl
Mix using a fork
3 3/4 c sugar
4 3/4 c flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp Cinnamon
Mix the dry ingredients in with the wet using mixer, then add 1 lg box vanilla or Choc Jello pudding mix
Grease pans then combine 1/2c sugar with 1/2 tsp cinnamon in a small bowl. Sprinkle mixture on bottown and sides of baking tins. Pour batter into tins 1/2 full, sprinkle remaining sugar mixture over top of batter. Bake at 350 for 1 hr.

Conversation hearts

I needed a Valentine gift for Pollyanna this month and once again Jami helped save the day. This is what we came up with. Jami also suggested putting them in a glass jar but I don't have one big enough yet.

Almost finished with a cute idea I found on another blog for the kids for Valentines. I just need to kick it in gear.

Lost Tooth

Eme has had a loose tooth for awhile and has been trying to get it out (without it hurting, which is why it has taken so long) so she can be on the lost tooth chart at school. Saturday her brother decided to help her out and kick it out of her mouth. (no wonder she wants a sister) . She had us talk to the tooth fairy and tell her to leave money but not take the tooth because she wanted to take the tooth to school. One happy girl
Friday Emerson helped me start on her valentines for her class. We melted crayons in a heart shape. We just need to make the cards for them and they will be done. They were fun to make.
