Farewell Taylor. Be safe.Be Strong.

Last Saturday my Mom, Dad and brothers and sisters went up north to see Taylor before he heads over to Iraq. He flew into Salt Lake on Thursday and he flew out on Monday. I am so glad we got the chance to see him one last time. He looks really good, he has lost weight due to the physical training and the humidity. We met Taylor and his family at the mall and visited for a bit and then headed over to Ellie's parents for a BBQ. His little boy Deacon didn't want to let Daddy out of his sight. He was so glad to see him. Final Good byes

Of course we had to lighten the mood.

Ellie shaved Deacon and Tripps hair before we got up there and Tripp definitely has the Gubler head.

The trip up was spent looking for Mom's Yeild and Railroad sign. But it was fun. I love you Taylor, be safe, Be strong and can't wait to see you in a year.

Summer Fun

The kids cleaned the pool out and I had them lay it on the tramp to dry when Slatin and Em got a great idea to fill up the pool on the tramp and jump. This idea has entertained them Tuesday afternoon from 12;30 until 5 and today for several hours. Thanks Slatin what a great idea. Kaige, Becca and Slatin

I didn't get any pictures of Ms Em jumping but I am sure they will be out on it tomorrow. Words of advice putting only a smiley face of sunscreen on your belly will not protect all your belly.
Slatin is a little red.

Today while they played on I was able to paint my kitchen chairs. I am so excited how they turned out. I just need to finish one more. They are all different colors. My mom was also kind enough to show me how to make an apron today. Move over little girl skirts, hello aprons. I am in love.

Splash Pad

Tuesday I took Em and Slatin and some friends over to the new Hurricane Splash Pad. They had a blast. I just sat under the shade and read while they tired themselves out in the sun and water. It was wonderful.

Jumping Jacks

I took the kids and some of their friends to Jumping Jacks while Ryker was in Hawaii. I think they had fun.

I love these of Em.

Happy Fourth of July

This Year with Taylor serving our country we decide to put a float in the parade. Mom, Summer and I were the lucky ones to decorate. We were slackers and waited until the night before to throw everything together.

My mom made all the girls cute little skirts and the boys vest to wear.

The older boys had big water guns and anyone they knew on the parade route got a splash of refreshing ice cold water.

Uncle Kade was the lucky one to sit on the float with all the kiddo's while the rest of us sat in the truck with my dad

Skittles and Sneakers aka Uncle Kyle and my Mom.

My Grandma even made it out to watch the parade from her front porch.

I am so thankful for the sacrifices my brother the troops and their families are making to keep our country free. I am so proud of my brother and love and miss him so much.

On a happier note I get to go up to SLC in a couple of weeks with my sisters, brother, and parents and see Taylor one last time before he flies out to Iraq. It will be bittersweet.

He's Back

Ryker just got home from Hawaii. He had a blast. One of the days he was able to learn to surf and here are some of the pictures. I think after 12 days of paradise he was ready to be back home. We sure missed him but glad he was able to have such a great time.
