Getting Ready for School.

Part of me is ready for school to start and to get back into a routine but then another big part of me isn't. We have had fun this summer playing and enjoying each other's company and I am not ready to start running all over again.
I went to register Ryker for the middle school ( I hate that my kids are growing up) and Jaxton for Intermediate. I have to say I think it is CRAZY the fees that we have to pay to go to Public school let alone if you have them in sports. Then went an picked up school packets for the 3 younger ones. Some are exctied, some are nervous and exctied, and one just doesn't want to go.
All of them will be in school all day. Sad. I better enjoy while school is in because once I pick them up schedules will be crazy.
Ryker is in soccer and will be having 3 practices aweek until games then it goes down to 2, Jaxton is playing football and he will be having practices and games, Kaige is in soccer in Bloomington and will have 2 practices a week and games. It is going to be insane for the next couple of months.
We finished up school shopping and I think we are set unless Teachers spring surprises.
Now the countdown begins.

Holy cows I can't believe you are the big 40. Your ancient. We love you and hope you have a Happy Birthday, if you can stay up long enough to enjoy it.

Tomatoes

A friend of ours brought us over some more tomatoes. A lot of tomatoes. While I was so thankful for them I didn't really want to bottle them. But I couldn't waste them, so today we started out working on the tomatoes, slowly everyone left the kitchen until I was the only one left. Me, who has never eaten a tomato and who can't stand the smell of tomatoes was left to bottle 3 batches of tomatoes. The things moms (and Wives) do for their families. It is such a nice feeling to have them all done.

We also headed down to Old Navy because thanks to Jami I had a coupon for $50.00 off $100.00. How sweet is that. Thanks Jami I got a ton of stuff and not all of it was for kids.

Bow Crazy

Last week Brandi and Colony showed me how to make cute corker bows. I fell in love with this one andthis week I went bow crazy. They are so fun to make, good thing I have nieces that I can share with.

Little Miss Emerson

Little Miss Em giving me a manicure. How lucky am I. She wanted to paint every nail a different color but we settled on blue. Such a pretty color on nails. I gave it a day.
This is a necklace that Jaxton made up at Scout camp. (Ryker made one to) Emerson wanted to keep it but this time her brothers said no. Poor Em.
I can't believe my baby is going to be in First Grade. I sure have fun with her. Monday her and I went down to St. George to school shop. I have learned my lesson with her. She tries on before I buy it and we don't take the tags off until I know for sure that she will wear it. I have a closet full of clothes that she will not wear. It drives me crazy. We had fun shopping and even though it was so hard for me I didn't buy her very much. She wears the same couple of outfits over and over and over. I have one little girl and she has a mind of her own. It's just not fair. She can't wait for school to wear all the clothes that she picked out. I had to veto several outfits (her sense of syle is a bit crazy)but we settled on a couple that we both like. Lets hope she still likes them when school starts and that she will wear them.

Mapledale

At Mapledale boy scout camp. When the baton was passed off to Ryker, the team was in 4th or 5th place. By the time he finished his lap around the pond and the canooers took off, the rest of the 10 or so teams were in the dust paving the way for the team to win. The boys did AWESOME!
It looks like Ryker's dedication to getting up at 6:00 a.m. 3 times a week this summer to run has paid off.
This was a Jr. Ironman. They had a team of 3. One swimmer, one runner and 2 canoers (sp)

The boys had a great time. They earned lots of merit badges and just enjoyed the camp. Chris is glad to be home and has a new found respect for scout leaders. I am proud of my boys and I am glad to have them back.
