Dinner with Dad

Chris was in charge of Dinner tonight. He went all out.

I had some old peaches downstairs that weren't looking to good so I blended them up added some jello and made Leather. (crossing fingers that it will turn out)

New Blanket

I got this yarn yesterday and made this blanket. I think it turned out so cute. I have extra yarn so I going to make another one but this one will be stripes. I am really happy how it turned out.

I was sitting in the kitchen at the bar eating lunch when Emerson sneaks up behind me and yells boo which of course scares me. ( all my kids love to scare me) she says " did I scare you?" I said yes you did. Then she says Well I guess you weren't using your smart brain.

WHAT...................

Gotta love kids. I think I will take not using my smart brain over gloria the hippo

Sneaky people and pollyanna

Tonight was our monthly pollyanna game. Of course Kristine and I were the first ones there. (I was on time because it was at my house) We are always waiting on Summer and my mom. So Kristine and I had to amuse ourselves until they got there hence the lovely blog picture.

The gang is finally here

It was a good night to win. Here is the loot. My mom can only wish it was all hers. I won, Kristine won and my mom won twice that leaves only one loser.

I had a sneaky person deliver some of my favorite things. Thank you, thank you for the gum. Summer and I are already thinking of wonderful ways to repay your kindness. Also summer wants to know where her gum is.

Chris is going to be so excite when he sees my surprise. He loves it when I chomp my gum. I don't just put one piece in I like to see how many I can get in at one time and still enjoy it. Lucky family. Thanks peeping tom.

Food Storage and Blankets

Harmon's is having a case lot sale for 3 weeks. I ran down and got a bunch of stuff. They also have Morning Moo for 8.99 a can which is only 30 cents more than the cannery and taste much better. (or so I have heard) They also have it in chocolate flavor. I ended up with a case of Chicken Noodle, case of Tomato soup, a case of cream of chicken, 2 case of Tuna fish, case of chicken broth, case of corn, 2 cases of spaghettios, 2 morning moo milk, 1 chocolate, yeast, toilet paper, sugar, flour, a case of cup of noodles and 4 apples juices. I think that is it. Not too bad.

I have been working on baby blankets. This last week I made a pink and brown one. I thought it turned out so cute. I just got yarn to make a brown, red, yellow, and blue square one. I can't wait to see how it turns out.

Apparently I am slacking on my blogging duties. Yesterday I just didn't have anything to say. I know,I know surprising. Today I just took some random pictures of the kids. I hope to post my goal for food storage today. I know you all can't wait for that. I do have to say that even though it has been lots of work I am so proud of our food storage. This is something that we have put off doing until now. I have so many friends who are working on theirs as well and will call me to let me know about good deals and such and I just have to say THANKS to them. I have gained such a strong testimony of the importance of food storage. Okay okay enough about that. (or at least until I post my goal)

Every morning when Ryker leaves for school the cats come running in the house. I DO NOT want cats in my house. It is the boys job to grab them fast and get them out. I don't touch cats.


Homework and breakfast I need to be better at having Slatin do his homework at night. I just run out of time

We decided to play spoons with the kids. Chris is the competitive one (I think it is that Steglich blood) in the family. I am the laid back one that doesn't care if I win or lose, just happy to be there. We had a good time.
